Description
The 2006 Florida Legislature committed the State of Florida to the preservation of hunting lands and hunting opportunities for the future. Section 379.3001(7), Florida Statutes, requires by October 1 of each year the Florida Department of Environmental Protection submit a written report to the Legislature and the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission detailing: a list of properties that were open for hunting during the previous fiscal year, a list of properties that were not open for hunting during the previous fiscal year, and the acreage for each property and the county where each property is located, except for right-of-way lands and parcels under 50 acres.
